"Long ago, in the beautiful kingdom of HYRULE surrounded by mountains and forests, it was known that young ones would one day leave home to begin a journey with their POCKET MONSTERS. Some people played with their POCKET MONSTERS, some battled with them.

One day however, a new legend told of an omnipotent and omniscient POCKET MONSTER that resided in a hidden land. Many people who sought to enter the hidden GOLDEN LAND used their POCKET MONSTERS to scour HYRULE... but all they found was conflict."
