The Vegas Golden Knights will not have star winger Mitch Marner in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the St. Louis Blues.

Marner’s wife, Stephanie, is due to give birth to their second child.

Alexander Holtz will make his season debut after he was recalled from Henderson of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

This will be just Marner’s second game missed as a member of the Knights. He was one of the five Olympians who did not play in the team’s first game back from the Winter Olympic break in February.

Marner has gotten off to a strong start with 12 points in 11 games and is on a personal seven-game point streak. He’s had a point in all but one game this season.

Holtz joins the lineup following a strong preseason and a great start to his AHL campaign with four goals and eight points through the first five games.
