Xiaomi's Redmi brand will launch the Redmi K100 in China on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. local time, the company said in a Weibo post on Monday, Gadgets360 reported . Redmi will also unveil its Clip Neo open-ear earphones alongside the phone.

The K100 joins the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which Xiaomi unveiled in August. According to GSMArena , Redmi confirmed the phone will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with the company's D2 display chipset. Gizmodo noted that the K100 is the first Redmi K series phone to carry a dedicated gaming chip in its base model.

The phone has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and a 165Hz refresh rate, which Redmi says will run natively in more than 40 games. It ships with HyperOS 4, which Gadgets360 said is based on Android 17.
