More than two years after three surfers were murdered during a camping trip in Baja California, disturbing new details are emerging in the trial of their alleged killers. Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson and their American friend Carter Rhoad disappeared while surfing and camping near Punta San José, roughly 50 miles south of Ensenada, in April 2024. Their bodies were later recovered from a remote well with gunshot wounds. Their burned-out pickup was discovered nearby. Now Ari Gisell, the former girlfriend of accused killer Jesús Gerardo, aka “El Kekas,” has testified that Gerardo was an assassin who carried a gun and maintained a list of people he intended to kill. Gisell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison last year for her role in instigating the robbery, said Gerardo returned after the killings covered in blood and carrying the surfers’ phones and jewelry.
