I always get sucked back in to Rimworld with the fantasy of a mid- to late-game colony. And while you can start with 10 developed pawns and enough resources and stuff to get rolling, that's just.. not how you play the game. Not how you get that attachment to your pawns, your playthrough. Feels empty.
But, I just cannot for the life of me stick with a run long enough to get to that point. I have my modlist, start well-enough off after spending an hour running through the checklist (do I like these pawns, the starting loadout, the ideo, the tile, the world) but idunno. There's so much to do, I find it overwhelming, maybe?
I've tried rando starts, and maybe I just haven't played long enough with them to get attached, but it's a similar issue.
In 615 hours of playing I've kept with two colonies total (neither completed), and another seven or so abandoned either from updates or multiplayer shenanigans. And I really, really want to get going again.
