Since it's near Hallowe'en, I'm in the mood for some scary movies.
Actually, I particularly want to watch Obsession and/or The Backrooms... But I'm unsure if they're "safe" for me.
Issue: I have a severe parasite phobia, which extends to depictions of possession. I need to avoid any scene of a foreign, malignant entity entering someone -- especially through their orifices. I can handle off-screen possessions.
A real example would be the scene in Alien: Prometheus (2012) where the first worm-like Alien which they encountered spat acid onto the man's arm, and then snaked up inside of him. That's the point where I had a panic attack and shut the movie off.
A generic example would be where a ghost enters someone's body through their mouth.
So, my request is two-fold:
Does Obsession and/or The Backrooms contain any scenes with on-screen parasites / possession?
Any other possessionless haunted house / paranormal movies to recommend?
