Thirteen others were wounded in a major attack that caused ‘significant damage’ to residential areas, Aleksandr Shuvayev has said

Two civilians were killed and thirteen others wounded in a major attack on the Russian city of Belgorod, regional governor Aleksandr Shuvayev has said.

The death toll from an overnight drone strike has risen to two. One of the injured victims who was hospitalized following the attack has died, Shuvayev added.

Overall thirteen people were injured, according to updated data from regional authorities.

Earlier reports said one person had been killed and 14 injured.

“The enemy launched a large-scale drone strike on residential areas in the center of the city,” Mayor Valentin Demidov wrote in a post on social media early on Sunday.

The raid damaged multiple residential buildings, personal vehicles, and public and commercial facilities, according to the mayor.…
