I’m a certified ophthalmic assistant with no college education working a job currently, but for several reasons, I feel I need to leave. However, there are pretty much no jobs for my field that I’m able to work, due to restrictions as I do not have a car, and similar-ish jobs in the field I’m hoping to keep my job long enough to start saving for an extremely cash car. I need to consider pivoting entirely, but I’m really stuck and don’t know how. I don’t know where my skills could transfer. I am willing to go to school although I would have to take out considerable loans. I just don’t know how to pivot and truthfully I am quite stressed as I need to make within $3 of what I make now per hour to afford my bills and I don’t know how to find any other job that will pay me this much. I am desperate for advice. I have previous work experience at eyeglass shops, over 2 years experience in eye care and a certification but how could I pivot or transfer this??…
