The JD Vance meme at hand

In fairness, audible indifference is still technically a reaction.

Devoid of charisma, JD Vance stepped up to the podium and was greeted with the kind of applause usually reserved for a substitute assistant vice principal being introduced at a mandatory assembly announcing a change to the lunch menu.

Nothing says "electrifying political presence" quite like applause that sounds like people checking whether their hands still work.
