Just for context, I am a photographer and have been shopping exclusively at B&H since 1997. To my calculation I've spent in the ballpark of $300k in that time.

Recently my account was placed on hold due to excessive returns, which they claim exceeded 40% of my total purchases. Not only is this incorrect because they only calculate your last few years of purchases, but they are also including exchanges of items that were wrong or defective; not in fact returns. Even with physical receipts showing exchanges for wrong items and photos showing the damaged items they still won't budge.

In one case I purchased a used GF32-64 lens, although when I brought it home, inside of the box was a GF110. On another instance I purchased a used Sony FX3 labeled as 'open box' 'no signs of use' however, I reviewed the camera in their lobby after purchasing and I found two large scratches on the sensor and significant damage to the body.…
