Im extremely new to Russian. I learnt the alphabet (i can recognise how to pronounce words based on how they look albeit slow.) and about halfway through unit 4 on duolingo but ive now learned that isnt a great option for learning it properly. One thing ive been doing is listening to the Russian versions of some "t.a.t.u" (t.a.t.y) songs that I know the English of to try recognise words and pair them in my head but its only worked a bit. Im more of an auditory or practical learner reading stuff over and over doesnt help me memorise. I cant use money to learn either so free stuff would help more.
