Ali G: Who Iz I? trailer

Joshua Loudermilk, an aspiring actor featured in Sacha Baron Cohen’s new film Ali G: Who Iz I? , has claimed he recognised the comedian early on and played along.

Loudermilk took part in an absurd prank segment as a recruit for fictional Mossad expert Colonel Erran Morad, alongside El Paso Republican party chair Michael Aboud.

Unlike Aboud, who threatened legal action over being misled, Loudermilk said he feigned hard-right views after responding to a Craigslist advertisement for financial reasons.

Representatives for the film denied Loudermilk's claim, stating he was not in on the joke despite his social media posts from December describing improv scenes with Cohen.

The film was released in the UK on 23 October to mixed reviews, with Cohen defending the resurrection of his controversial Ali G character.
