One person was killed in a car crash on Colorado Springs’ Southeast side early Saturday morning.

Just before 12:15 a.m., police responded to a rollover crash involving one car near the intersection of South Chelton Road and Marlow Circle. One person died at the scene after they were ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle’s driver, identified by Colorado Springs Police as Karen Bustos, 20, was transported to a hospital with “minor injuries.”

“The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling westbound on S. Chelton Road at a high rate of speed when it failed to negotiate a curve,” police said. The vehicle struck the curb and flipped, coming to rest on Marlow Circle.…
