MPC User here, wondering if I should purchase Ableton before this sale ends I've been getting familiar w/ MPC the past couple of years, I use the old Touch for the most part (so still in 2.x), but also have a Live 2, and a couple of Akai keyboard controllers as well. I'm loaded up with synths and sound packs on it - maybe past the point it's useful, as I have more sounds than I'm able to wrap my head around. I know Ableton is kind of the go-to DAW at the moment, and my Google Alert let me know it's on sale for 25% off at the moment. I'm wondering if it's worth dropping the cash to give me access to Live 12. It would definitely be a more universal language for learning from others online, but past that, I'm not sure what I would be able to do in there that I can't in MPC. I'm wondering if maybe my established familiarity with that family would be worth more than having to get into another software/hardware paradigm, even if it is a bit more universal and (allegedly) more efficient.…
