Trump calls Ken Paxton 'pain in the a__' after Senate hopeful criticized GOP convention

Neil Bush, brother of George W. Bush, announced he voted for Democrat James Talarico over Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Texas U.S. Senate race.

Bush cited concerns over Paxton's conduct, specifically his attempt to challenge the 2020 election results to help Donald Trump remain in power.

Expressing broader concerns, Bush stated that Donald Trump and his enablers have caused enormous damage to the Republican Party by putting personal loyalty ahead of principles.

Donald Trump has actively supported Paxton's campaign while publicly attacking Talarico ahead of early voting in Texas.

Bush maintained that he still holds Republican values, emphasizing that character matters more than party affiliation.
