It’s going to be a chillier weekend before 70-degree weather later next week.

Expect cooler temperatures with highs around 50 degrees Fahrenheit both Saturday and Sunday.

Local trails are in pretty good shape. Certainly a little dusty, but what can you expect during a drought in a desert. The best riding conditions can probably be found at higher elevations.

Farewell trail offers technical descent, breathtaking views

The high country is calling. All trails — including Farewell, Mrazek and Metolius-Windigo — in the Tumalo Falls area are rideable, according to reports on bendtrails.org,
