Lately I've been browsing sites like Flippa just out of curiosity. I'm not really interested in buying a business, but more in understanding how they work and eventually starting something of my own.
I find it pretty interesting to look at their revenue, expenses, profit margins, and other KPIs to get a better idea of what makes a business profitable. It's also surprising to see how some relatively simple ideas can actually make decent money.
I figured this might be a good way to learn about different business models, understand the numbers behind them, and maybe even get some ideas of my own.
Does anyone else do this? Do you think it's a useful way to learn, or are there better sites or resources for this?
