Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis suffered a medical emergency at Colorado's athletic facility Wednesday and was transported to the hospital, his father announced Thursday.

In a post on X , T.C. Lewis wrote that his son is "recovering and thankful to his medical team, teammates and Colorado fans for their prayers and support."

T.C. Lewis offered no specifics regarding the emergency and said the family has no further comment at this time. In a statement on Thursday, Colorado confirmed that Lewis suffered a medical emergency but did not provide any further details.

"Colorado Athletics extends our full support to JuJu and his family through this medical emergency," the school said. "He remains in the thoughts of every CU player, coach, and staff member and we will continue to assist in any way we can in his full recovery.…
