iPhone Duo is just about a week away from launching, and now that preorders have opened, Apple’s official iPhone Duo accessories have started to hit stores for early purchases. After purchasing, some users have noticed that the silicone case has a little bit of a caveat.

Apple designed two cases for iPhone Duo: a $79 silicone case , and a $129 folio case . This concern is about the former.

With the silicone case for iPhone Duo, you’ll actually need to expose adhesive on the case for it to stick to your iPhone. Apple decided to opt for adhesives rather than using magnets. Presumably, the case would fall off if you don’t use the adhesive. This isn’t a new concept for foldable cases.

The unfortunate thing about this is that you likely can’t swap cases or go caseless as easily, and even if you do, the adhesive wouldn’t be as effective after you take it off.
