I played a Kahoot called “Are you smarter than a 5th graders?” with a class of 33 8th graders today. I teach in the US. The kids took the game very seriously — snacks were on the line. The 3rd question asked, “Who was the first president of the United States?” and only 7/33 kids got the answer correct. I chose rant as the flair because it makes me feel sad that these kids don’t know that fact in the 8th grade.
