Hotels relying on Salto can now offer support for Room Keys in Apple Wallet In addition to car keys and home keys, one Apple Wallet feature that sometimes flies under the radar is support for hotel room keys . Much like Apple Wallet keys that unlock cars and front doors, hotel room keys also let guests use their iPhone or Apple Watch to access their rooms and common spaces with no need for a physical card or actual key. Adding a hotel room key to Apple Wallet is a simple process, provided that the hotel supports the feature. When that’s the case, guests can add a hotel room key by opening their reservation in the hotel or resort app and tapping the “Add to Apple Wallet” button.
