Tom's Guide Verdict

I expect a lot from Samsung soundbars, especially when everything I’ve tested in 2026’s “H” lineup has been so good. So, it brings me great pleasure to announce that the flagship Q990H sounds excellent, with great Dolby Atmos, a powerful 300W subwoofer, and crystal-clear dialogue. I wish it were a little cheaper due to more inexpensive competition, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed here.

Reasons to buy

+ 120Hz passthrough for gaming

+ Wireless subwoofer and rears

+ Crystal-clear dialogue

+ 300W of pure subwoofer power

+ SpaceFit Sound Pro now available on non-Samsung TVs

Reasons to avoid

- Not as immersive as one other (cheaper) premium soundbar
