Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster have continued their collaborative streak with a fourth eyewear collection that look intentionally broken.
The latest frames will be released on Thursday (Oct. 29), composed of 43 sunglasses and 25 optical frames under the “deconstruction” theme. Elements of the glasses have crushed and altered detailing spanning oversized and slim fits. The Maison Margiela signature is seen at the temples of the frames, while the smaller styles incorporate new branding. A short film dedicated to the release is directed by Alex Prager.
While a special performance event dedicated to the launch will be hosted in Seoul, Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster will also hold eight pop-ups globally.
