The hidden logic of fear, survival and human evolution

When I was younger, I used to obsessively watch Tom and Jerry. Out of all the cartoons, these were the ones that kept my curiosity alive. I was always waiting to find out: would Tom ever catch and eat Jerry?

I wrote this article because I started noticing the same pattern in real life.

As a child, I watched countless cartoons, but Tom and Jerry was always my favorite. I loved the suspense they were built around. And even when Jerry seemed exhausted or ready to give up, the ending never really came.

For a long time, I thought these cartoons were just a unique form of entertainment. But looking back, I’m starting to believe that this “delayed ending” says something essential about how our lives actually work.
