My first long nose gar? Caught in St John’s River in Florida. My biggest fish to date. Didn’t know gar were here and fought it for a good 5 minutes. I was 5 feet up from the water and wasn’t expecting this fish so I couldn’t pull him up. I feel bad because I got down and had to cut my . I couldn’t reach down with my pliers. Poor guy :/
