The last two weeks of October are here, and we hope you’ll take the time to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month with us! If you are considering adopting a dog, we encourage you to adopt from one of our programs. We’ve featured some of our favorite adoptable canine companions below, so take a look!

We are also wrapping up The Rescue Effect campaign this month. By adopting just one animal from a shelter, you are helping to save the lives of many more! Every time a pet leaves the shelter through adoption or fostering, space and resources open up to help other animals in need. Help one, help many — that’s The Rescue Effect .

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Subaru of America, Inc. to spread the word about The Rescue Effect! Together, we’re shining a light on dogs from our facilities across the country, and one of them might just be the right fit for your home. These adorable dogs are available for adoption in New York and North Carolina!
