Employees may soon be able to complete complex business tasks without switching between multiple software applications or manually managing individual workflows. Oracle is introducing two artificial intelligence capabilities designed to let workers describe what they want to accomplish while AI coordinates the steps needed to get it done.

Announced October 26 at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, Oracle Fusion Companion and Oracle Fusion Agentic Home aim to simplify how organizations use AI across finance, human resources, supply chains, and other business operations.

The capabilities are part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and allow employees to initiate work through supported AI tools, including ChatGPT, or through Oracle’s own AI-powered interface.

For small and midsize businesses managing increasingly complicated operations, the announcement highlights a shift from AI systems that primarily answer questions toward systems capable of coordinating and executing business processes.
