A group of veteran Fallout 4 modders have just added a whole new town to its wasteland, offering another place to pop into for some trading and questing as you roam post-apocalyptic Boston. The place, dubbed Detour, looks set to act as a "new quest hub" that'll grow via new additions from its creators over time.

Drawing a bit of inspiration from Fallout 3 's Arefu and Highway Town from Fallout 76 's Burning Springs update , Detour 's a settlement up on one of the ruined freeways which loom above parts of the wasteland. It's not too far from vanilla starting location Sanctuary, near the map marker for Bedford Station, so it's an ideal place to visit early on in a playthrough.

The town's home to voiced citizens running shops, offering to rent you a room, or keeping the peace.…
