I'm not much of a movie guy, and I'm trying to find whimsical movies for my partner that he's never seen before! The issue I'm having is that he practically grew up in the movie theater and I've been struggling to find something brand new for him to watch.

I need movies that are whimsical, woodsy, mystical, and otherworldly. I need something like The Last Unicorn, Princess Mononoke, and Where The Wild Things Are. Just those types of movies that you remember watching as a kid and were so otherworldly you wonder if they were even a real movie at all. It absolutely cannot have a "nature vs humans" plot where the humans win though, and preferably something that isn't too terribly melancholic at the end either.

The medium doesn't really matter; it can be animated or live action or claymation even. Thank you in advance Reddit 🫡
