5-7 days of nature, ideally land wildlife (orangutans, monkeys, elephants) over marine
A beach to finish; a quiet NYE is fine
Nice organised lodges, not tents or roughing it
No drives over about 6 hours and no rough boat crossings
Budget is roughly €10k per person, all-in
Option 1: Singapore → Borneo → beach
1–2 nights in Singapore
Sabah: Sepilok (orangutans, sun bears), Sukau Rainforest Lodge (Kinabatangan river cruises) and Borneo Rainforest Lodge (Danum Valley)
Beach, one of three: Kota Kinabalu (Gaya Island / Shangri-La Rasa Ria)
Bali/Lombok/Sumba (Menjangan, Oberoi Lombok, Nihi)
Langkawi (The Datai)
Option 2: Thailand
3 nights in Bangkok
3 nights at an elephant-focused camp in the Golden Triangle (Four Seasons Tented Camp or Anantara)
