Hey everyone,
I’m interviewing for an Automation Engineer position at a large retail and logistics company. I’ve made it through the first two rounds, and the third is a panel interview , with the final round after that. I’d love some advice from people who’ve been through panels or sit on the hiring side.
Quick background: I’m currently an IT engineer and AI automation lead at a food manufacturing company. I build Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate flows, support plant-floor IT, and manage and train a small team on building their own agents. Before that I spent about 10 years in tech support and field service roles.
What I’m trying to figure out:
How do you handle a panel when each person is looking for something different? (technical, management, HR/culture) Do you aim answers at the person who asked, or at the whole group?
What should I expect for an automation role? Scenario questions, whiteboarding, “walk me through a workflow you built”?…
