I’m a consultant based in the Northeast US, traveling domestically around 100–140 nights per year. I’m now Marriott Ambassador Elite, have Hilton Gold through Amex Platinum, and am Hyatt Globalist.

I’m usually at hotels just to sleep and work, so upgrades matter most, while breakfast and lounge access are nice extras. My main priority is earning points efficiently and getting the best redemption value for personal vacations.
I’d like to understand Hyatt’s points system and how it compares with Marriott in practice.

For those traveling at this volume, would you stick with Marriott, switch to Hyatt, or try to maintain both? Which has delivered the best overall return for you?
