Virginia Tech softball squares off against Syracuse in the second game of the three-contest set at 1 p.m. ET. Read below for a game thread, organized in reverse chronological order.
Pre-Game
The Hokies' starting lineup is as follows:
- Addison Foster - Center Fielder
- Jordan Lynch - Third Baseman
- Nora Abromavage - Left Fielder
- Kylie Aldridge - Shortstop*
- Michelle Chatfield - First Baseman
- Zoe Yaeger - Catcher
- Rachel Castine - Second Baseman
- Gaby Mizelle - Right Fielder
- Annika Rohs - Designated Player*
* - Aldridge typically plays designated player. Putting her in short in the lineup allows for a loophole that enables Emma Mazzarone to pinch-hit. Aldridge will play DP, while Rohs plays at shortstop.
