There’s a reason I am most productive when working from an office, and it’s not the harsh lighting or lack of distractions: It’s my office chair. Previously, I was convinced that “ergonomic” was an empty buzzword used by chiropractors and human resources, but after working from a slew of supportive seats these last few years, I’m a believer. The best office chairs combine a sophisticated aesthetic with a genuinely functional build—and both things can be true in the same design. Maybe that budget mesh chair you picked up from an office supply store does the job, but is it the right culture fit for the very curated aesthetic of your home?
