Bungie surprised players last month by announcing its intention to bring back Destiny 2 campaigns and other additions taken out of the game over the years. When that 'unvaulting' plan was initially announced, Bungie didn't share any specifics, nor a timeline as to when we can expect the things to return.

Now, the developer is finally offering some hints. Bungie head of product, Josh Deane, revealed that Bungie is close to sharing a progress update. "I know there are a lot of questions on the how, what, when of unvaulting. Including any potential future updates to D2 and what's beyond for Destiny," Deane wrote on X in a post only recently spotted by The Game Post . "There's going to be a very intentional process for all of it that will take time."

Deane said Bungie will begin "talking about what our first step is going to look like with more clarity" at the end of October, which we're coming close to now.…
