When more than 200 federal, state, and local agents descended on a rural horse-racing event in Wilder, Idaho in a sweeping immigration raid, what was supposed to be a Sunday family activity quickly turned into a nightmare. The agents violently detained around 400 people, including U.S. citizens, children, and grandparents.

At La Catedral Arena, children watched as their parents were thrown to the ground, zip-tied, and abused by masked agents. Mothers told us they couldn’t feed their babies, even as their children cried.…
