Singer was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay a portion of the prosecution's legal fees

Chris Brown has received a suspended jail sentence for a 2023 attack in a London nightclub. The R&B singer was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months, and will pay a £1,500 ($2,000 USD) fine toward the prosecution. His prison sentence was waived as a result, per Billboard .

On Feb. 19, 2023, Brown, along with co-defendant Omololu “Hoody Baby” Akinlolu , attacked music producer Abe Diaw at a London nightclub. Brown allegedly used a tequila bottle as a weapon and repeatedly punched at and stomped on Diaw.

Brown was originally charged with assault, suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon (a tequila bottle).…
