Putting GTA VI aside, no video game has more anticipation and hype than Marvel's Wolverine , a single-player action adventure from Insomniac Games—the same studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank . It's been brewing for quite some time; the developers announced its development all the way back in 2021. Since then, we've gotten intermittent news, until a ransomware attack leaked unfinished footage in 2023, and a two-minute trailer dropped in 2025. But last night, at PlayStation's State of Play on June 2, the studio debuted an extended gameplay trailer. It revealed characters, plot points, a melee-based fighting system, and blood. Lots and lots of blood that oozed, spurted, and covered the eponymous main character from head to toe.
