Related: Walmart redesigns its Great Value brand for first time in 10 years to reflect changing shopping habits
Walmart has launched a $35 Thanksgiving meal basket designed to feed 10 people, costing $3.50 per person to help shoppers facing high food costs.
The 26-item basket is $5 cheaper than last year's deal and features a frozen Butterball turkey for 97 cents per pound along with popular traditional sides.
Competitors including Aldi, Lidl, Winn-Dixie, Schnucks, and Wegmans have also introduced holiday meal bundles to attract budget-conscious consumers.
Affordability is a top concern this season, with nearly 44 percent of consumers citing holiday expenses as their primary source of stress.
In response to rising costs, 43 percent of holiday shoppers plan to seek out sales more frequently, while 31 percent intend to comparison shop more than usual.
In full Walmart just might’ve won the budget holiday meal battle
