My girlfriend has been engaging in SH again. She was drunk the other night and asked me where my scissors are then got upset at me when I wouldn’t tell her and hid them from her. She scratched herself instead.

I’m at a loss at what to do. She has reached out to the mental health services at our university but she thinks that counselling won’t help as it didn’t help her before. She’s looking at getting medicated.

I’m so drained just constantly worrying about her and I’m honestly upset she thought I would give her the scissors to hurt herself with. A partner in the past engaged in SH in front of me at one point so I have trauma honestly relating to this but I’m trying to stay strong for my girlfriend.
