The first class section of the Adani Lounge at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) was my final stop before leaving India ahead of my Emirates A380 flight to Dubai.

After spending much of the day at the Four Seasons Mumbai nursing an unsettled stomach, I headed to the airport for my flight to Dubai and a look at this lounge. As I recounted in my India trip diary , I left the hotel around 8:00 pm and arrived at the airport well ahead of my late-night departure.

The Emirates check-in counter was not ready to accept me and I was told to return at midnight. Thankfully, I had already checked in online and had a digital boarding pass, which allowed me to proceed through security and immigration.

My destination was the first class section of the Adani Lounge. I visited this lounge many years ago when it was called the GVK Lounge.…
