FrameTrellis v1.3.0: Safer Editing, Smarter Media Management
Today, I'm sharing FrameTrellis v1.3.0 , a new stable release of my open-source desktop video editor.
This update focuses on editing reliability, file safety, improved media discovery, and better tools for understanding project state.
FrameTrellis is built with C++20, Qt 6/QML, MLT, and FFmpeg .
It is designed around a simple principle: video editing should remain local, transparent, and under the user's control.
Why this release matters
Video editing applications manage important creative work, often involving large files, complex timelines, and multiple source assets.
Small mistakes in file handling, timeline calculations, or rendering can have significant consequences.
For v1.3.0, I focused on making those underlying workflows more dependable.
