As a reminder, Rule 6: ChatGPT and AI usage is strictly against the rules.

Over the last 18 months, we have been fighting a difficult battle regarding AI usage in r/travel . Depending on how much AI was being used in a post or comment, each mod used their own judgement to determine whether the content merely required removal, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban.

AI usage that is not allowed, including, but not limited to :

generating your post, in part or wholly using AI

formatting your post using AI*

translating your entire using AI**

citing or referencing AI as a source***

asking the community to proofread or validate your AI-generated itinerary

We have decided to simplify our workload and manage expectations of the users submitting AI content.…
