So I moved in to this lovely map with a beautiful chokepoint.

I only have 1 colonist because there's very little food around here (permanent winter) so new arrivals tend to end up in the freezer...

Anyways, my boy discovered a hive and decided he couldn't handle it alone, but then the dreaded "a bug hive has reproduced itself" kept popping up, increasingly often, so its threat level went up to the sky while my ability to handle it dropped to nonexistent.

I like this map so I don;t really want to flee, but I've no idea how to handle it.

I was thinking of opening it when the next caravan arrives, but 1) I fear that even they couldn't handle it, and 2) the temperature is so low that they leave immediately upon arriving.

My technology level just reached microelectronics.

Any ideas?
