Looking for films where the audience learns who committed the crime early on, and the suspense comes from how the investigator can prove it. A careful cat-and-mouse story with clues, mistakes and conflicting accounts would fit better than a final-minute identity twist. Any language or decade is welcome. Please keep details beyond the basic premise spoiler-free.
