J.R. Smith has admitted that he probably should have been wiser with his money during his time in the NBA . Smith, who retired from the league following his championship win with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, sat down for an interview on The Richard Show, shared on Thursday (June 18), and was asked what he's processed and evaluated since his basketball career came to an end. "The first thing that comes to mind? How much money I wasted." Smith said with a laugh. "Half the shit I bought in the last 10 years, I barely use." The two-time NBA champion has dedicated a lot of his free time these days to enjoying golf, and even admitted that he tends to wear the same golf outfits. "Even the watches, buying all these fancy-ass watches and shit, I don’t wear them," he said. "I don’t go anywhere to wear them!
