An afternoon of sunbathing took a terrifying turn at a popular Northern California beach when a lifeguard patrol truck ran directly over a 20-year-old woman lying in the sand. The incident went down around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday at Francis Beach, a busy stretch of sand also known as Kelly Beach on the southern end of Half Moon Bay State Beach. According to authorities, the victim was relaxing on the sand when a California State Parks lifeguard operating an official patrol vehicle drove over her.
