IBR recertification question

I don’t have a 2025 tax return yet (filed in 2026) and yes I know it’s late. I do have a 2024 tax return (filed in 2025). I just received a denial letter on my recertification request because of my income documents and it literally says, “tax returns from the previous two tax filing years.”

I called MOHELA and they claimed they’re going to reprocess my request but what is the deal, why do I have to explain this to them that my 2024 tax return is from my previous two tax filing years? Has anyone else dealt with this?
