Dan Crenshaw, who recently lost a primary to a more conservative challenger, said Sunday that while he believes misinformation played into his loss, American voters need to pay better attention to the truth. "So the lesson to be learned is like, you've got to get the truth out," Crenshaw said on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan ." "You've got to try. But ultimately, this is a question for the American people. Are you going to believe everything you read online or that's sent to you in your mail?" Crenshaw, a Texas Republican, lost in the March 3 primary to state Rep. Steve Toth, who is one of the more conservative Republicans in the state Legislature.
