Honestly, phones stopped feeling fun years ago. These days they’re pocket-sized computers that mostly exist to get things done, and most of the apps on them follow suit. Even games, which are supposed to be fun, have started to feel serious.

There’s nothing wrong with that. But somewhere along the way, we forgot how magical these things are. Fitting this much computing power into a device that slips into a pocket is a genuine tech miracle that we’ve taken for granted. Instead, we argue over marginal spec bumps instead.

The iPhone Duo brings some of that magic back , and developers have noticed. The apps below are useful to a point. Their real job is to show what the open and closed states can do, sometimes in silly new ways.
